JPG, PNG, and WebP — which format to use
JPG is the usual choice for photos. Files stay small. It does not support transparency, so see-through areas become white.
PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency. Camera photos are often larger as PNG than as JPG.
WebP is a modern web format. It is usually smaller than JPG or PNG and can keep transparency. All current browsers display it.
Need a specific pixel size after converting? Use the image resizer. iPhone photos in HEIC? Use the HEIC converter first.
